Shirley Briggeman (Program Manager) has been overseeing Project Respect since 2002. She came to the program from Michigan, where she piloted an abstinence education program for another Community Pregnancy Center. As a pastor's wife, her experience includes presenting pre-marital classes for over 100 couples in the past 20 years. She has a passion for healthy marriages and feels there's no better way to begin that process than by teaching abstinence until marriage. Shirley and her husband, Ed, have been married for over 40 years and have been blessed with four children and twelve grandchildren.
Deana Bondy (Administrative Assistant) has been married for since 1988 and is the mother of four children. After being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, she came to Project Respect in the fall of 2005 and she is excited to be working in the office to help educate youth in making healthy choices for their future and be in connection with such great teachers that are making that happen also.
Sylvia Blakely (Classroom Facilitator) is a registered nurse with a Masters degree in community health concerns. She enjoys working with youth to educate and inform them about the smart ways to stay healthy for life. Her medical knowledge and expertise bring added credibility to the classroom as she specializes in STD presentations for Project Respect. Sylvia's motto is "Prevention is Key" to avoiding many health dramas that teens could face today."
Troy Bondy (Classroom Facilitator)has served for nearly 2 decades in youth ministry and is excited to carry the abstinence message into public schools. He's seen many students choose abstinence once they understand that it helps them reach their goals and avoid the consequences of sex outside of marriage. Though it wasn't easy, he and his wife remained abstinent until marriage, and Troy lets youth know they can do the same. He says, "After 20 years, four kids, and a whole lot of fun, I have no regrets. And you too can accomplish your hopes and dreams as you save sex for marriage!"
Lisa Gratz (Classroom Facilitator) and her husband, Scott, have been married for over 20 years and have 2 children. She received a B.S. degree in Counseling and has enjoyed working with youth for the past 20 years. She wants youth to understand their value and how the choices they make now will impact their future. With all the pressures teens face today, she is excited to educate them on the benefits of making positive life choices.
Stephanie Lloyd (Classroom Facilitator) is a licensed nurse practitioner managing 2 STD testing sites in Bryan and Defiance. She is teaching for Project Respect presenting the STD consequences day. Stephanie lives on the family farm and enjoys giving medically accurate information to teens. We are glad to have her new to our team this year!
Julie Weber (Classroom Facilitator) lives in Archbold with her husband Dave. They have two dogs Loretta Lynn and Buddy. She graduated in 2002 from Great Lakes Christian College with a B.R.E. Julie enjoys working with young adults-challenging them to plan for the future they want starting now.
